In his own written words, Nick Bullock is a 'Mountaineer. Climber. Author. Prison PE Officer escapee. NOT an adventurer.'

Perhaps one of the most determined and endearing climbers you will meet.

Nick began climbing in 1993 and quickly established himself as one of the UK’s leading climbers.  Rock climbing, Alpine Climbing, Expedition Climbing, Icefall & Mixed, Scottish & Welsh Winter climbing.

Prison Officer and Physical Education Instructor HM Prison Service. Needing to leave routine behind, where he worked as a prison officer in a maximum security jail with some of Britain’s most notorious criminals. At 37, with no fixed abode and a van (8:29) too comfortable - 'Let's get scared'.  (10:18 quote).

In self-proclaimed effort, Nick took to writing, Echoes & Tides.

His writing has become renowned,  with published work in Alpinist, Climb Magazine, Vertical, The Alpine Club Journal, The American Alpine Journal amongst others.
